Informational Update February 12, 2020

18th Avenue – Underground Utility work

  • Scope of work is to place power and communications lines on 18th Avenue between Jefferson & Cherry underground
  • Trailers will be delivered to the site when there is a firm start date. They will be placed along the east side of 18th Avenue in front of the houses to the north of the Hope Heart building.
  • UMP Mylars have been submitted to SDOT. Permit should be issued shortly.

Street Improvement Permit

The Street Improvement Permit (SIP) has been issued. The SIP covers capital improvements mandated in the Conditions of the MIMP. Details of the work can be found in the SMC Cherry Hill MIMP City Council Findings Response Worksheet, Item #9.

MUP and Building Permit – 18th Avenue

  • Submitted for MUP and Building Permit

Miscellaneous

  • Maintenance and repair of James Tower Bell Tower will begin in September. Scaffolding installation is continuing. Maintenance will begin shortly after that.
  • A community art gallery has been installed near the Concierge Desk in James Tower. Art will be rotated as new submissions come in. Visitors welcome!

City’s Notice to Community Process

  • Seattle Department of Construction & Inspections (SDCI) sends out notifications to adjacent property owners and tenants within a 300-foot radius.
  • Project information is posted on the Land Use Information Bulletin Section of the SDCI website
  • Anyone providing comments to SDCI during the MUP process and requests to be on the notification mailing list OR if anyone signing up at the Early Design Guidance/Design Review Board meetings will receive notification from the City.
