May Update to the Standing Advisory Committee

Informational Updates – May 2018

18th Avenue – Underground Utility work

Scope of work is to place power and communications lines on 18th Avenue between Jefferson & Cherry underground
A Utility Major Permit is under review by SDOT. It is expected that another month or two will elapse before it is approved.
Trailers will be delivered to the site when there is a firm start date. They will be placed along the east side of 18th Avenue in front of the houses to the north of the Hope Heart building.

Jefferson Tower Roof

The replacement roof on Jefferson Tower is targeted to start on May 21, 2018. This may slip to May 28th.
It will require six weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Cherry Street Residential Project:

MUP

Sabey is responding to a number of corrections received this week from the city.

Demolition:

Depending on when Sabey receives the MUP, demolition could begin as early as June. If the MUP reviews take a while, Sabey will wait and have the demo permit issued with the building permit in July/August.

Building Permit:

Permit corrections have been submitted to the City.
Assuming additional corrections are required, a building permit is expected in late July/early August.

City’s Notice to Community Process
